Property surveys, accidents, insurance claims, but also personal protection: capture timestamped and geolocated video evidence, independently verifiable. In a dangerous situation, the signed video stream is transmitted in real time, even if the phone is locked or its screen is off.
Every chunk of video is signed on the phone as it is captured, together with its timestamp and GPS coordinates, and the signature covers all of them at once — there is no metadata field outside it to edit afterwards. The verification page states, for the recording you are looking at, exactly what was established about the device that filmed it. A Forsheur video therefore cannot be altered or substituted after capture. Qualified eIDAS timestamping, for legal admissibility in the EU, is planned.
Footage is streamed continuously to a secure server. No need to wait until recording ends to access the rushes.
When the filmer sets a recording to private, it is encrypted on the device before transmission. Only authorised recipients can decrypt it — the server never holds the key.
Download a self-contained evidence bundle for any recording and verify it yourself, entirely offline: the media, its signatures, and a timestamp anchored in a public blockchain. Anyone can check it against public references only, with no Forsheur server involved. The proof holds even if Forsheur disappears, or is the party being challenged. The verifier itself is open source: you can read it, rebuild it, and check the copy inside your own bundle against the one published on GitHub — rather than taking ours on faith.
In sensitive areas, the person filming can delay the disclosure of their GPS position for a chosen duration. The location is still signed at capture, but is only revealed after the safety delay.
